About the procedure

It is possible to age slowly. With the help of natural-based dermal fillers, you can achieve the very best results in terms of rejuvenation, wrinkle removal, skin smoothing, firming, and the correction and removal of minor scars – simply and quickly.

Gel-based dermal fillers containing hyaluronic acid are fully absorbed, restoring the skin’s elasticity and hydration and improving its appearance – safely and without any side effects.

This is currently the most sought-after aesthetic procedure; the effect is long-lasting and the substance injected under the skin is naturally found in the body, without causing any loss of facial expression.

It is essential that this procedure is carried out by a specialist – a corrective dermatologist.

Hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler

Hyaluronic acid plays a crucial role in the body – it has the ability to bind water, is found between the body’s cells, and is utilised in many medical fields.

Due to ageing or genetic factors, its levels in the body decline, leading to the formation of wrinkles, sagging cheeks and a loss of elasticity.

By increasing hydration, it helps, amongst other things, to counteract the free radicals affecting the skin, which are responsible for cellular ageing.

Further information about the procedure

Dermal filler treatment is carried out on an outpatient basis as a minimally invasive procedure; it can also be performed under local anaesthesia or using an anaesthetic cream. The filler is injected (using fine needles) into predetermined areas beneath the skin.

It smooths out and evens out deep wrinkles, such as those between the eyebrows (the so-called glabella) and nasolabial folds. It fills and corrects facial contours in cases of facial sagging, loss of subcutaneous volume or sunken cheeks.

It can also be used to rejuvenate the hands and décolletage, treat fine lines around the eyes, and correct acne-related blemishes and scars.

The skin is firmed, rejuvenated and brightened. Dermal fillers are also recommended for treating bags or dark circles under the eyes.

The procedure is also frequently used to reshape the nose and enhance the lips, to achieve a fuller shape and eliminate drooping corners of the mouth, and it helps with drooping eyelids – all without the need for surgery.

The application of dermal fillers takes approximately one hour and allows you to return to work and your personal life without restrictions and without the need for recovery time.

For even better results, the treatment can be combined with other aesthetic procedures, including laser treatments.

  • Blood clotting disorder
  • Cancer
  • Pregnancy, breastfeeding

Please inform your doctor of any other health issues to avoid unnecessary complications later on. A consultation with a doctor is always necessary to assess whether a particular patient is fit for the procedure.

It is not advisable to take medicines containing acetylsalicylic acid or painkillers for about a week before the procedure itself.

Treatment process

Much like plasma rejuvenation, dermal fillers are administered by injection. After the area has been numbed, a small amount of filler is injected using microneedles into a specific part of one of the skin layers (depending on the type of treatment), depending on the size of the area being treated.

The procedure takes 30–60 minutes. After receiving instructions from the doctor on aftercare, the patient can return home or to work without any problems.

After the procedure

Following the procedure, depending on the sensitivity of your skin, minor bruising, swelling or redness may appear in the treated areas; these will disappear after a few days. For best results, it is advisable to stay well-hydrated, drinking around 2–3 litres of fluids a day.

The results are usually very good, with a natural-looking effect visible immediately after the procedure, and they improve significantly over the course of 2–4 weeks. It is not advisable to use saunas or solariums, or to spend time in the sun, for about a week; strenuous physical activity is also not recommended.

Depending on the individual, the results last up to 12 months, after which the treatment can be repeated.
